My Dad Has Left an Imprint

My dad has left an imprint
Upon my heart and mind
In me varieties do hint
Of his qualities there to find

Hear him in my voice so strong?
Or see him in my stance?
I am growing- it won't be long
That you'll take a second glance

How I want to be more like him
And learn what makes him tick
For he is part of who I am
Through the thin and through the thick

Father how I love you
Your strengths I want to own
And of all the things you do
Your service stands alone

Thank you for repairing
All the things that I broke
For the priesthood you are bearing
And the prayers which you invoke
