The Tribulation of the Mormons

The tribulation of the Mormons
Had been counted as deserving
Was it due to an unrighteous member
Who up close they saw as swerving?

With a harsh view of our doctrine
One soon heeds the precepts of man
And becomes a stumbling block often
When there ought to be naught found against

And some join to mock knowing not of
But, of this threat, we are told we shall not judge
As such we have hope and will never give up
For it is given to all man to seek knowledge

When the pick and flower of England
Took board on the Amazon
A reporter came to inspect them
And found them favorable and grand some

And, in truth, the gospel is favorable
With God's all encompassing, compassionate plan
That men of faith become admirable
As unto hearts and lands, God's word brightens to expand
