The Elders Waited At a Door

The Elders waited at a door
As I was passing by that street
When I had so much to pray for
Was it just chance that we did meet?

To start, I asked where they were from
And did they have a moment for me?
As to this new city I had come
And knew not where to plant my feet

Immediately, I was put at rest
And no longer felt I was in danger
As though great burdens were off my chest
For they assisted me, though a stranger

How does one decide where to live?
When just days from a distant land?
But to ask those who in service do give
And have walked down each street first hand

And while the choice was still mine
I was suggested a ward that was near
I thanked them for being so kind
As I was restored to faith and good cheer

They who tell of the truth restored
Restored my sanity unto safety
As though through windows of heaven down poured
Tender mercy to replace my anxiety

Thank you Elder Ramos and Elder Carnell

While in Las Vegas searching for a house I saw 3 different arrests on my first day
and was very uncomfortable with the first lender I met. The elders were a blessing from heaven. I only had 5 days to find a house and didn't know anyone... But, when you see the missionary badge, you have a familiar friend indeed.
