Good Things Last

Good things last the longest
Thus, families are forever
With them we're the strongest
For love and for endeavor...

Nine months till a child's born
The near chaos this can stir
As the siblings are forlorn
And are feeling insecure

Each must come to know their place
And anticipate great change
But, when to the child they face
There's a bond that does exchange

No longer are they helpless
As in them stirs a need
To nurture and to bless
And too a chance to feed

Soon this precious infant will find
The passing on and on of hands
And with many "mothers" to mind
It's toothless smile lights up grand
