A Beautiful Thing Happens Inside the Temple

A beautiful thing happens inside the temple
As peace descends upon all who assemble
Unto holiness- like heaven has come to earth
For light and knowledge gathers unto new worth

Eternal covenants lift us and point us upwards
As what occurs exalts and ennobles us forward
This place of tranquility, kindness, love, and light
Aims us towards a glorious Celestial sight

The temple stands as a beacon for all to see
It connects us to what was known anciently
In God's holy house we feel that He is near
For here we're taught and our vision becomes clear

Let's come and take part of the acts that extend
And bless those who've departed as eternity blends
On earth, what bigger works could we ever show
Than to extend God's love that they too might know
