I Have a Prayer Regarding Strength

I have a prayer regarding strength
For all mankind upon the earth
That each will extend their length
To help another know of their worth

From the least to the greatest
And the greatest o the least
Working together with full zest
From the North, South, West, and East

If no student was left behind
Because citizens chose to assist
To advance the young in their mind
Think of the well being that would exist

The overweight paired with an athlete
Think of the power formed with control
Think of how healthier we'd be
As we're lighter to accomplish each goal

The unemployed are welcomed
To come, learn, watch, and to see
For their minds to expand and become
Something better, something to be

Let's not forget the elderly
Who best to help our youth?
They've time to work dutifully
To school behaviors unto truth

Those with beauty could help the unkempt
To add freshness to their day
Perhaps then they'll be more adept
With new confidence along the way

And what of those we choose to avoid?
The criminal or the addict
What if we filled up their void
And they overcame choices that afflict

What if we filled up the parks
With children, fun and with laughter
What new friendships we would spark!
And less counselors we'd be after

What if we each had less stuff
And more family time and vacations
Maybe chores wouldn't be so tough
As we simplified our schedules and stations

What if we each opened our eyes
And saw a way to improve the earth
Even the waste lands and onto the skies
In it's beauty, proclaims that man is of worth
