A Worthwhile Goal

A worthwhile goal
Will improve my life
Will increase my role
And will lessen strife

Where do I yearn
To change and grow
In me it must burn
For improvement's show

A flame, a fire
Is building more
My greatest desire
Is what I live for

With full purpose
I'll press ahead
Seeking for progress
Well enough said

It's time for work
To watch and pray
For soon I'll not shirk
With help to not sway

May I measure
Each step I take
Then comes the pleasure
Of me in the make

I will account
Unto someone
And make each day count
For change to be won

Does benefit
Other's in sample
How best to profit

And so for me
I press onward
Helping other's see
How to move forward
