With Reverence

With a heart full of reverence
I have come offering repentance
Amidst much contemplation
I avow rededication

How I need the sacrament
May I feel Thine atonement
Help me to grow in strength
To endure to the end at length

My road's been long and winding
In keeping covenants, binding
When I set off without Thee Lord
There are hard bends and discord

To the last drop, Thou knows me
And of every short coming
I'm in need of Thy protection
Thy spirit and correction

My heart's full of love, for Thee;
For all Thou has done for me!
On this day so full of rest
I hold these thoughts in my breast
