With love, God sent us His Son

It is such a blessing to work.

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13. I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live. Also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil- That is God's gift to man.

Beyond

Look out into the expanse.

There is infinitely more!

We are not made of chance.

For, God is everywhere!

The dance of the honey bees.

The migratory patterns on Earth.

Pheromones among threatened trees.

Life communicates beyond what's heard!

Would You Rather?

Would you rather live in a world streamlined.
Where jobs exist jobs for all?
Or, a place where individuals can shine
And answer to their own call?

Thinking about employment and how that looks in various countries. Las Vegas has 8,000 or more homeless. What can be done???

Who You Are- Can Lead

The person, who you are,

The fight

We fight against the pricks
With a narrative that sticks.
But, that is not who we are!
We are meant to travel far!

Pricks are little nudges from the Holy Ghost. The narrative is what negative things we tell ourselves and that limit us to follow through. I struggle with this.

I have been writing poems since my son left on a mission many years ago. I marvel at the randomness of the internet that these poems have reached so many countries with views now reaching 1.65 million! If there is one thing I would celebrate the most, t is writing Jesus, Son of Man, a Jew. I learned so much and poured my heart into it. It has 2.29K views. I know that there are better poets out there! I am just expressing my thoughts while pondering and as they come. Talking about the earth and wondering about the true scale of the map of the world, I found this video that puts everything into true proportions. And just to keep me humble and remind me that poetry can bring someone to tears. Elder Whittle's poem, He's Been There Before, has more views than any of mine ever will. It is exactly what every missionary needs to help them get through their mission!

I used to attend The Nevada Interfaith Association (a fellowship dedicated to promoting collaboration, cooperation, and support that encourages sharing among faiths.) Each year, they pick a topic and hold a monthly meeting at a different church site. You get to know different religions and are not treated as an outsider. It is a beautiful opportunity to appreciate differences and to show acceptance.

Religion Communicators Gather in Utah

It is through service
That evidence is found:
In Him, we have purpose
And charity abounds

It is as we give
We open up ourselves

When different faiths unite
This evidence expands:
Love puts differences aside
For the outreach of helping hands

Prayer and Worry

More prayer=

Less worry,

Less stress,

And less hurting

And.. remember a hymn is a prayer, too!

I often remember when a kind Sikh who, in the middle of the day, was kicked to death at the end of our street by a gang's initiation ritual. I never knew hiim. But afterwards  got to know his wife. This poor man practiced medicine in his home country and he was getting ready to take an exam. He was out stretching his legs, getting some fresh air, and holding prayer beads while trying to not feel overwhelmed.  🙏  This was an important message to me to get to know our neighbors and to pray for each other and to lighten each other's load.
